The Department of Policies serves as the primary research, advisory, and advocacy arm of the University Student Government (USG) concerning institutional policies. It is entrusted with the critical role of ensuring that all University-wide policies are fair, effective, and beneficial to the student body. The department operates through four specialized committees: Academics, which focuses on academic matters; Fiscal Policies, which addresses student financial and resource matters; National Affairs, which handles policy issues with a broader societal or governmental context; and Students' Rights & Welfare, which ensures policies are fair and student interests are protected. Together, these committees conduct the necessary research, engagement, and advocacy to comprehensively assess and improve the university's governing policies.
