The Department of Socio-Civic Affairs provides opportunities for students to harness their critical thinking and socio-civic responsibility. This department goes beyond the walls of the university, with the goal of unconditionally responding to the needs of the times. The Department is divided into two subdepartments, which are (1) Political Affairs and (2) Civic Responsibility. The Political Affairs, composed of the National and International Affairs Committees, aim to raise awareness on the relevant issues, emerging problems, and historical events both inside and outside the country. Civic Responsibility, on the other hand, focuses on both the well-being and advocacies of the students, as it is composed of the Health and Safety and Social and Cultural Advocacies committees. These four committees bring together a department that encompasses all aspects (i.e., political, social, cultural) of achieving a thriving community.
